Death: The philosopher

Chuck Schuldiner was the lead singer and guitarist of the death metal band Death. He died on December 13, 2001 from a tumor in his brain but also because he could no longer afford his medical bills, which had grown tremendous from the surgeries he needed to sustain a basic life with minimum wracking pain. Ten years have passed and we still live in a country that is surprisingly okay with this as the outcome of a life, okay with how a terrible thing could accumulate mass in Schuldiner’s head and could disrupt his basic living functions forever and we could just let that happen because he didn’t have enough money to sustain his own body. Death were an important death metal band in that they probably invented the genre, and Schuldiner was a composer of such intricacy that he should be stationed among, I don’t know. Here’s where I wish I knew more about classical composers but Schuldiner should be somewhere up there, with them, but instead he’s dead and no one cares.
